Three Stars (ECAC Championship)

Josh Jooris
First Stars (tie): Josh Jooris, Jeremy Welsh, Daniel Carr (Union)
This trio almost single-handedly won the Whitelaw Cup for the Dutchmen, accounting for seven of Union's nine goals over the weekend. When this line is clicking, it is one of the most lethal combos in the league and the country.

Jooris led the way with six points on the weekend. On Friday against Colgate, he assisted on Union's first goal early in the first period. He then scored the eventual game-winner on the power-play in the latter half of the second period. The Burlington, Ontario native then played a big role in pulling away from the Raiders in the final frame with two assists. In the championship game, Jooris picked up an assist on the eventual game-winning goal, before sealing the deal with his third empty-net goal of the season.
Daniel Carr

Classmate Daniel Carr led the Dutchmen with three goals in Atlantic City. He put Union on top 1:35 into the Colgate game with a long shot that beat Eric Mihalik. The Sherwood Park, Alberta native then added a huge insurance goal while shorthanded early in the third period. Carr leads the Dutchmen with three shorthanded tallies. He then came up big for the Dutchmen in the championship game when he tapped in the game-winning goal, and assisted on Jooris' empty-netter. His four point weekend helped him set a career-high with 38 points.

Jeremy Welsh
Centerman Jeremy Welsh picked up three points against the Raiders, first assisting on Jooris' PPG and then on Carr's shortie. The Bayfield, Ontario native then netted Union's fifth goal of the evening. Welsh picked up just one point in the finale, but it might be the most important point in Union College's Division I history. After Harvard scored the games first goal 4:52 into the third period, the big junior took the game into his own hands by taking the puck in his own zone and skating down to the other end of the ice where he fired a shot between a defenders legs and through the pads of Raphael Girard. This took the momentum right back and set up Carr's game-winner just a few minutes later. Welsh now has 40 points on the season, which is a career high.

Alex Killorn
Third Star: Alex Killorn (Harvard)
Even though the Crimson did not win the championship, their top player still had a great weekend. He scored Harvard's second and fifth goals and added an assist in Harvard's 6-1 win over Cornell. The following night he scored Harvard's only goal against Union. Killorn was also named to the All-ECAC First Team at the Thursday night banquet.  The Montreal native finished the season leading the team in goals (23), points (46), and power-play goals (9), all of which are career highs.

Honorable Mention:
Troy Grosenick (Union): 28 saves vs. Colgate; 16 saves vs. Harvard
Marshall Everson (Harvard): 2g vs. Cornell; 1a vs. Union
Colin Blackwell (Harvard): 4a vs. Cornell

* The Union guys will all receive two points, while Killorn will receive one.
